Newsletter June 2011

As previously reported, the Steering Group was set up in September 2010
and has been looking at how to make the best use of the garages to
make improvements on the estate.

The first part of the work was carried out in March 2011 and this has seen
a block that  was under-used and in a very poor condition demolished and
the surrounding area enhanced to create a better environment.
Due to the amount of work that is required this project will be undertaken
over a number of years and a budget for the year 2011/12 has been agreed.
The Group is currently in the process of investigating how this will be spent.

The aim for the coming year will be to repair the garages rather than demolish
so that those customers wishing to retain their garage can do so. Once the
Group has made its recommendations, those garage tenants affected will be
consulted on the proposed works.

Should you have any queries regarding the garages please contact
Mark Grimwood, Head of Neighbourhood, on 01279 712471

Berecroft Residents Association Update

Just a reminder that football coaching is still happening every Saturday
between 10am – 12pm on the top field.
Hopefully, more sporting events are coming soon.
We would like to invite parents to come forward and assist us with running
these events,
which are great fun and help promote physical exercise and healthy lifestyle.

There will be a Police drop-in session at 65 Berecroft on Monday 25th July
to help with any issues or advice.

Kind Regards,  Cheema
